Jon Krakauer

Jon Krakaur was born in 1954 in Oregon. His father introduced him to mountianeering at a very young age. In May of 1996 he climbed Mt. Everest. He wrote a book called Into Thin Air that was about his climb of Mt. Everest. He also wrote the book Into the Wild. It was about Chris McCandless's journey in the wilderness of Alaska.
