I read the novel Their eyes were watching God by Zora Neale Hurston. I liked part of the book but i disliked other parts. Overall, it was an okay book. At some parts the book was very slow because not much happened in a few chapters. The last chapters seemed rushed because so much was crammed into the last chapters. The book was wrapped up and some of the loose ends weren't tied up at the end. It left you hanging. I thought the author was a little harsh on the main character ( even though the main character Janie isn't real). In the story, every one of Janie's relationship companions was either abusive or died. At the end, you had to guess what happened becuase the author didn't tell you what happened after the story was over.
In all the novel was not bad but it also was not a really good story.
